Cocoa
In rescue, every now and then, life throws a little surprise our way. One moment, everything’s quiet in the aviary—and the next… “Ooooops!” That’s how Cocoa (a lovely t-check pattern pigeon) made their grand entrance into the world.
A volunteer missed an egg, and suddenly, there was Cocoa—tiny, fluffy, and way too cute to be mad about. Born right here at DCPR, Cocoa may have been an unexpected arrival, but don’t dare tell them they were an accident! This little “squeaker” already struts around like they own the place.
Cocoa may be young, but their personality is loud and proud. Sassy, curious, and just starting to explore the world, they’re full of potential and charm—and growing more delightful by the day.
Due to their age, Cocoa is currently only available for local pick-up (baby pigeons can’t be safely shipped just yet). However, approved adopters can reserve this tiny feathered firecracker, and we’ll happily hold them until they’re ready to spread their wings and travel safely near the end of August/Early September.
Looking for a baby bird with big attitude and an even bigger heart? Cocoa’s your squeaker.
