Bolt 2.0
Hi! I’m Bolt 2.0, because apparently somebody at the rescue already used the name Bolt once before. What can I say? Great pigeons inspire great names. I’m one of the many unclaimed Cuban pouters who found my way to DCPR this spring, and while my past remains a bit of a mystery, my future is looking much brighter.
My gender is unknown, and my foster is still getting to know me, but one thing is already clear: I’m absolutely adorable. Just look at me! Like other Cuban pouters, I come from a breed developed for the sport of "thieving," where lofts compete to attract birds away from one another. Because of that history, pouters are famous for being flirtatious, social, and people-oriented birds who often make wonderful companions. While no rescue's personality can be guaranteed, I like to think that I'm full of potential! (like your last partner ;))
Right now, I’m still writing my story. Maybe I’m secretly a cuddlebug. Maybe I’m a tiny drama king or queen. Maybe I’m both. The only way to find out is to take a chance on me. If you’re looking for a charming little pigeon with lots of potential and a face that’s impossible to say no to, I’m ready to make my debut as the new and improved Bolt.
